I have had an ongoing billing dispute with The Hotel Telluride for the last 3 months. I was wrongly billed $4998.65 and have gotten zero follow up or engagement from the management group of The Hotel Telluride. It has been incredibly frustrating. I am pursuing a refund via small claims court. I am very disappointed with the response from the managers of The Hotel Telluride and I have reached out directly to Providence Hospitality Partners who operate the hotel. Beyond my poor experience trying to get my refund sorted out, I was pretty shocked with how dated and ordinary feeling the rooms were. The only thing the hotel has going for it is location if you want to be on the west side of town. Decently long walk into the town core though.

Very disappointing experience at this Hotel. The walls are extremely thin and we could hear entire conversations of the people in the room next to us. I was even woken up by the alarm clock of the room next to us at 5:30am. Then at 7:00 I was woken again because our room was right next door to an intermediary school. The soccer goal was literally 5 feet from our window and balcony. The loud yelling of the children was quite annoying. It would have been impossible to have a peaceful morning on the balcony. When we told the front desk of the noise problems, we were told, “Well there’s only so much room in the Box Canyon.” There was no sympathy of our unexpectedly early mornings in our very expensive room. We had a highly disappointing stay and would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Telluride. Spend your money elsewhere.

Hotel Telluride is the worst hotel I have ever visited. I booked an Elite Signature View King room for my stay to celebrate our wedding and I was greeted with the view of building. I was switched rooms but told that I would need to switch again 2 days into my stay. This was highly inconvenient. Not only was I not offered help with my bags for this move, but the rude manager Kevin mocked me and said “how mad are you right now.” This is a despicable thing to say to a client. I also ordered food to my room on my wedding night and instead of charging it to my room, I was greeted in my literal wedding dress with a check after the restaurant closed. That was not the time or the place. If they really needed to present me with a check and not just charge it to the room as I asked, they could have waited until the next day. The furniture was also DISGUSTING and stained and there is minimal parking available. I was told that parking was included in the stay and surprised when I was charged for a spot on site when I checked out. I was also wrongfully charged a fee for my service dog. When I brought these issues up to management, they offered me a partial refund. Looking at my credit card statement, the refund was less than I was promised and when I called in to discuss, I was connected to a woman named Amanda. Amanda should not be working in customer service and Hotel Telluride should be embarrassed to have her as an employee. She yelled at me and hung up on me two separate times as I was just trying to get clarity about my refund. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Camel Garden down the road has less stars but it is a LOT better. I am so very disappointed, this is no way to treat a customer let alone someone getting married while staying there

Staying at the Hotel Telluride was an incredibly disappointing experience. We booked this for two nights to enjoy a 4 star hotel on our honeymoon and the location off the main drag was a huge appeal so that we could get some much needed rest and relaxation. Well jokes on us, our hotel room backed up to an intermediate school field. We were woken up by screaming children before 7:30 every day and every time we were in the room before dark, there were children playing sports on the field. The rooms windows offered no protection from the sound, and there’s even a placard on the balcony stating to be respectful of “their neighbors”, so no drinking, etc on the balcony. I work with children, and in no way think this problem was their fault. My problem is with the hotel. When I checked out, I informed the front desk of my issues. While they offered their apologies, they stated that almost everyone complains about the noise and I should have said something to them sooner, so they could have “tried” to move our room. If the hotel is fully aware of this problem, they should not be booking people in those rooms. Definitely not for $500/night or without a disclaimer about the noise. I also think that it’s ridiculous, that I would have to complain to get a good hotel experience. Moving rooms after you are fully unpacked and only for two nights, is an inconvenience in itself. As guests at a 4 star hotel, we should have never been put in that position. They also told me there was nothing they could do because I booked through Expedia. At the end of the day, we spent a lot of money on an incredibly subpar experience. We will be back to telluride, but will not be staying at this hotel

DO NOT BOOK HERE! I had a family emergency and needed to cancel the room 30+ days out. They said they do not provide refunds and didn't even offer to let me have a credit or rebook in the future. They are taking $291 from me. How is this ethical or legal? Crooked people own this place!!!!!!

We rebooked our honeymoon in 2017 after at Christmas-time Telluride had received zero snow. They only refunded a fraction of what we had paid but told us if we ever rebook they would help us out. Well, even after sending them the booking confirmation number and cancellation confirmation number and email from their general manager, I can’t get so much as a call back from the current manager. Not honoring what they said is one thing, but not being a stand-up person enough to tell me that…WEAK.

We came here in the off season. Very pleased with the warm quality of the hotel and the very comfortable rooms. We would like to add a positive shout-out to Andrew at the front desk. His service was exemplary. He took the extra time to help us get to know the area and recommend the best places in the off season. We talked with him for a while around the big lobby fireplace, and it was nice to have a rare personal human connection with hotel staff.

Just completed a wonderful 5 night stay at the lovely Hotel Telluride. Perfect accommodations in the town of Telluride that is close to everything - including restaurants, shops, the lifts and gondola! The hotel and rooms provide everything one would need after a day on the slopes. The beds are incredibly comfortable and duvets nice and warm. A big shout out to housekeeping who kept rooms spotless throughout the entire trip! The two jacuzzis on the deck were perfect to unwind, and bar service direct from the spa was top notch. Every single person working in the hotel was incredibly warm and kind. All of the doormen / drivers were super pleasant and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a ride into town or to and from the gondola. Thank you Tom, Dave-O and Mike! Also a big thanks to Tom, the GM of the property for constantly checking on our crew and providing a wonderful, first-time experience in Telluride. Highly recommend the Hotel Telluride, and would definitely advise staying in town versus the Mountain Village. Just minutes from town, chair 7 and the gondola, Hotel Telluride has everything you need for your mountain adventure.
